The sweetest things…

…come in the most unexpected packages. Happy Hearts Day!

Hong Kong, January 2011

Each time I visit Hong Kong, the city’s got something new to say. A new story to tell. Next to Manila, it’s my favorite city in Asia. Maybe it’s how I feel perfectly comfortable, yet so perfectly unease at the same time; or how the mix of old and new has kept this city so alive–bustling and vibrant–for many years now.

For the first time, I got to explore the city on my own terms. The theme this year? Design, design, and more design! (And needless to say–it was all about food, too!)

Check out the rest of my photos here!

Say it with this–and a kiss!

Female Network asked me to do these drawings in time for Valentine’s! They’re for a set of e-cards you can send to your special someone(s), right from your computer. Clickity-click HERE.

Here’s what I had to say about the cards: “I love doing minimal line drawings with colors that pop, and I love doing artwork with a dose of edge and whimsy. These cards carry two themes I’m always inspired by–beautiful women and beautiful clothes. They’re things people fall in love with easily! But I also wanted each of the girls in these drawings to have their own personality and to allow different aspects of every woman to shine through–be it fun, classy, sweet, flirty, or mysterious. My favorite of the bunch? The one putting on red lipstick (above)–I wanted to bring out the Brigitte Bardot in her!”

And here’s the rest of them! Much love!

Heima Collection 2.0 catalog

First things first–a Happy New Year (and Happy Lunar New Year) to everyone!

I just got back from blogging hiatus, and I’d like to share the biggest (and most fun) project I had in 2010, a collaboration I am still so happy about to this day! (I mentioned this collab in a previous post.) Here is Heima‘s Collection 2.0 catalog, which I art directed in October last year!

The first image up there is the main cover; this next one is the spread right behind it…

Which then opens up to this…

And right behind it, this dollhouse-inspired layout that doubles as a pretty poster!

The catalog launched in November last year. I absolutely love how it turned out!

Happy Christmas!
